LED LIGHT EVENT INSTALLATION EXAMPLE
Aerial Concepts South African Aerobatic Nationals 2008


This event stretched over 4 days. Light was supplied for 4 nights from 6pm to 6am.

Total power consumption on this event was 240Watts. The LED lights were set up in 4 seperate banks. Each bank had its own battery supply that could last for more than 14 hours continiously.
The marquee used 18x3Watt  LED lights powered from a 105AH battery. Total lux on the ground was about 14lux.
The entertainment area used 11x3Watt LED lights and 3x6Watt mini floodlights, powered from a 105AH battery. Total lux on the ground measured at seperate locations was around 12 - 16 lux.
The parking area used 2x45Watt LED floodlights and 2x6Watt mini floodlights, powered from a 105AH battery. The lamp posts were raised to 5 meters. Total lux on the ground in the parking area was measured at 14lux.
The toilets used 5x3Watt LED lights and 2x6Watt mini floodlights, powered from a 40AH battery. Total lux measured in any of the tiolets was about 18 lux on the ground.

For comparison, an average street light in a residential area is rated at 75 - 125Watts. The lux readings below a warm white lamp pole is about 12lux.
